ShelterBox A PROJECT PARTNER OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL

ShelterBox is a cutting-edge charity that provides shelter, essential items and technical assistance to help some of the world’s most vulnerable people recover and rebuild their homes after disaster. ShelterBox listens and adapts their support to the needs of each community, working together with those affected by disaster, alongside our supporters and partners.

Since its inception, ShelterBox has been intrinsically linked with Rotary. Starting out as a club project in 2000, it has grown to become Rotary International’s Project Partner for disaster relief. ShelterBox works with Rotarians around the world to deliver emergency shelter and essential items following disasters and humanitarian crisis.

ShelterBox has assisted over 2.5 million people. From hurricanes, flooding, earthquakes, tornadoes and conflict, ShelterBox responds all over the world.

ShelterBox aid is tailored to each individual situation and community. Aid that can be delivered includes different types of tents to suit a range of conditions, shelter kits and tarpaulins to repair damaged homes and essential items like water filters and solar lights. ShelterBox is determined to ensure that no one goes without shelter following disasters. You can help achieve this aim.

ShelterBox has 14 global affiliates, all dedicated to raising funds for and awareness of disaster relief. The organisation continues to research and develop its equipment, train its ShelterBox Response Team members (SRTs) and evaluate aid items so that it can respond effectively and immediately to the next major disaster. Your support is greatly appreciated.
